Extra Special Support Group
We had an extra special support group today as we were joined by a truly inspirational guest this afternoon. River is 16 years old and lost all her sight in 2018 following treatment for leukaemia and an illness that spread to her brain. This hasn’t managed to dampen her spirits as she radiates positivity and spirit.
River is passionate about baking and one day hopes to open her own café, a dream she had before she lost her sight but a dream she hasn’t lost. River ever so kindly went through all the effort to make our group some homemade chocolate and oreo brownies, which were absolutely stunning. Needless to say the group want her back next month too!
